What to ExpectThe Golden Falls Waterski Open day is your chance to have a go and get an introduction to the sport of waterskiing. Our experienced coaches will get even first time skiers up and going.
Arrival
Arrive at the club complete your paperwork and we will equip you with everything you need for your waterski experience. Got your own gear, then feel free to bring it along!
Hit the Water!
Our V8 Malibu arrives at the Dock and you are ready to go. Most beginners start on the training bar and build up from there. People progress at different rates, but everyone will be skiing by the end of the lesson!
Dock Briefing
Once you are ready to go we will give you a dock side briefing on safety and how to approach waterskiing. It’s much easier to have a few dry runs on land meaning that you will be ready to go once you hit the water.
Ready for something more?
If you have a bit more skiing experience, just let us know in your booking. We can accommodate any level skier right up to competition short line.
Who’s The Open Day For?
The open day is open to everyone over the age of 12 years old and with any skiing ability from complete beginner to experienced. Participants do need to be reasonably fit an comfortable in open water.
When will it be?
The open day will take place on 19th September and there will be two slots of five skiers. These will run
Morning 10:30am to 11:50
Afternoon 12:30 to 13:50
Just indicate on your booking which slot you prefer. We’ll confirm the booking with the exact time closer to the day.
How much does it Cost?
This is a subsidised Open Day supported by the IrWWF national body. All participants at €45 each, payable on booking.
Do I need to bring anything?
We have all of the equipment available at the club, just bring you swimming togs, a towel and some flip flops or Crocs.
